Community IT is the solution to a problem facing all not-for-profit organisations.

How can you secure modern IT solutions on a limited budget?

When Community Legal WA faced this dilemma in 2018, they used the experience and knowledge of their staff to develop an ICT strategy that was able to serve their needs and those of the community legal centres they represented.

Their strategy was successfully pitched and secured a LotteryWest Grant for implementation. A key aspect of this strategy was the development of a cloud-first IT model that would allow for greatly improved mobility and collaboration.

When Covid-19 hit in 2020, the strategy paid dividends, and allowed Community Legal WA and the legal centers to transition to remote working with ease.

It became clear the ICT strategies and solutions we provided were in demand. In 2021 the ICT model was consolidated into a deliverable product to provide low cost and low maintenance ICT services to not-for-profit organisations, by leveraging the philanthropic offerings of larger technology companies.

At the end of 2021 the initial funding came to an end, and Community Legal WA partnered with Ferox Consulting to continue offering the Community IT service to organisations that will benefit from affordable modern ICT services.
